Han Ning Damon Chen is a multimedia artist and creative technologist based between New York and Shanghai. His practice spans sculpture, installation, and digital media.
Damon’s work centers on vulnerability, creating subtle encounters that reveal the fragile boundaries between comfort and discomfort, familiarity and strangeness. Often exploring quiet absurdity and understated eeriness, his installations expose the hidden emotional mechanics embedded within our interactions with technology and the environment. Damon is particularly interested in moments when control slips, routines falter, or everyday gestures become unexpectedly charged with intimacy and uncertainty.
By gently disrupting how we experience and engage with technological systems, Damon invites audiences into reflective spaces where vulnerability—both collective and deeply personal—can emerge, resonate, and quietly linger.
